Research shows that high quality homework can provide students with an additional 5 months of progress per year in secondary school.

How will we set homework?

Homework will be set for every subject in the classroom and will be a mix of online, and written work. Students will be reminded about homework while in lessons and will be expected to write the homework in their planners.

We use a range of online platforms through like Microsoft teams, SENCA, Sparx, Massolit and others. These platforms are carefully selected to provide high quality educational content that will support our knowledge rich curriculum.

Support

Self-Study and Independent Revision

There are six key strategies that support independent revision and ensure children remember more, and remember it for longer. Students should not be copying out lots, reading and re-reading or spending hours highlighting.
