Oldham Student of the Year
Luke Goodall was nominated for Oldham Student of the Year run by Oldham Rotary Club. This was due to Luke’s outstanding charity work.
He was nominated by his head of year for his tireless efforts in raising money for several charities. Luke does this selflessly and humbly without seeking praise or recognition. He is also an excellent ambassador for school as he helps lead the Cadet force, particularly mentoring new and younger cadets; he is an excellent role model for them. Luke has always had a passion to join the military and has been accepted in the Army cadet programme at Harrogate.
Luke’s achievements are :-
August 2016 – Climbed Snowden’s raising money for Mahdlo
July 2017 Oldham way challenge – 50 mile trek raising money for Mahdlo
August 2018 D of E bronze
November 2018 and 2019 Poppy selling for Royton British Legion
July 2019 D of E bronze
September 2019 Cycle 300 miles for Cancer research
He is an extremely pleasant young man who strives to always do his best and help others. A real credit to his family and himself. We are very proud of him at Royton & Crompton.
Luke was chosen as the winner over many nominations from several schools across the borough.
