Holocaust Memorial Day

Every year, Holocaust Memorial Day falls on the 27th of January.

Holocaust Memorial Day is the day for everyone to remember the millions of people murdered in the Holocaust, under Nazi Persecution, and in the genocides which followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur.

We can all learn from the past and create a better future for everyone.

To help remember those that have been effected, some of our students and staff visited the Shaw and Crompton Cenotaph to pay respects individually and as an academy.

Also, Lucy, one of our very talented Year 11 students, has written a heartfelt poem called ‘Imagine Not Knowing’ which you can read below.
