Passport Sessions

26 April 2021

During the week of 26th April 2021 students of year groups 7 – 10 will be taking part in virtual passport sessions which will be running every day this week. The E-ACT passport allows every student the opportunity to gain new experiences and life skills through workshops, form time activities and school trips.

Below is an outline of how this Passport week looks for each student.

Monday 26th April: Year 10 will take part in a self-confidence course provided by ‘Life Skills from Barclays’.

Tuesday 27th April: Year 8 will be introduced to mindfulness and breathing strategies provided by the team at ‘Relax with Lucy’.

Both year 7 and year 9 will be taking part in a sexual health workshop provided by ‘Tough Cookies’. Year 7 will receive talks based on puberty whilst year 9 will focus on contraception.

Wednesday 28th April: Year 9 will be connected to working professionals from both the aviation sector and the NHS. They will be given the opportunity to ask work related questions aimed to raise aspirations for our students.

Thursday 29th April: Finally, year 7 will be working with ‘Green Up Your Act’ to learn about the wider world and the impact of plastic pollution. They will also be getting creative as they are taught how to use unwanted plastics to create up-cycled cork fish.
